For me, photography started when my employer sent me on a job to Nairobi Kenya in eastern Africa back in 2004. At that time, my wife was 8 months pregnant with our first child and I purchased my first Panasonic Lumix FZ-10. A few months later I upgraded to a Nikon D70 DSLR. I received alot of positive feedback and after I was approached for the first time to take wedding pictures, I made the commitment to start a long-term business serving the community. Nearly 9 years later, I can say it was the right decision and has been very successful.
With several years of traveling around the globe, I have had the opportunity to meet people from all different backgrounds. I count this experience as one of my greater successes when meeting a couple about their wedding. Or a family who want a variety of portraits of their children. The relationship I have with my clients keeps many of them coming back year after year.
As you can see, I love adventure. And when I am not taking pictures for hire, I travel around to find the perfect landscapes or wildlife in their natural habitat that most never get a chance to see. And a few times a year I fly to remote places in Montana, Wyoming, and Utah to go hiking in the back country.
