The state of Montana has to be by far one of he most spectacular places I have ever visited. What I like is the remoteness, the wilderness, solitude, and the fact that you have to be on your guard while out there alone. Grizzly bears, mountain lions and wolves still hunt freely. In September of 2007 I camped alone in the mountains north of Gardiner Montana. It gave me an incredible measure of freedom in life.
